EMDR Therapy

Your brain already knows how to heal. EMDR helps it finish the job.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the most researched therapies for trauma. Instead of reliving the past, we help your brain reprocess the memories that still hijack your present — so they lose their charge and stop running the show. You can finally recall what happened without it taking over your body.

Most people think EMDR is only for 'big T' trauma — abuse, a car accident, war, birth trauma. It works powerfully for that. But some of my most meaningful work is with relational and attachment wounding, and the negative beliefs people learned early — 'I don't matter,' 'I'm not enough,' 'my value comes from being good, responsible, and not needing anything.' If you're a high-achieving woman who is quietly burnt out from holding it all together, this is often exactly where EMDR helps most.

I'm EMDR certified through EMDRIA and use it for trauma, anxiety, birth trauma, and the old stories underneath 'I'm not enough.' If weekly therapy has felt like maintenance, EMDR is how we get to actual movement.
